Answersi have the 46" fabricated deck Cub Cadet Zero Turn with steering wheel. The steering wheel units are BEST for uneven terrain with slopes. It goes anywhere you point it ! Main consideration is the fact the ZERO TURNS have TWO transaxles allowing for advanced traction above and beyond ANY tractor. Even tractors with differential locks cannot compare to the traction supplied by the ZERO TURN two transaxle system.
In the Specs. column the engine : 21.5 Kawasaki says Refurbished.... Is motor not a New Motor ????

Is the deck independent from the machine and does it work well with tough uneven ground

AnswerHello Jim, the RZT-SX 54 KW FAB does have a floating deck independent from the frame. Anti-scalping deck wheels help to navigate rough uneven terrain, but we recommend moving slower and/or lifting the deck slightly as needed. Thank you for your question!

when it was delivered, it was uncrated and put together, from a mechanic that knew what he is doing. drove the unit 100 feet and the drive belt shredded, had to have a local dealer come pick it up and repair it, very day it was delivered. trying to deal with Home depot warranty people, all I got was the run around and transferred across this planet. I finally called our local dealer, whom I should of dealt with in the 1st place. other then all that, the center blade spindle, when starting the blades, this one has a tendency for the belt to jump off it when you start it up. this is very very annoying. I did the research on line before purchasing, I feel some of those reviews were bought and paid for. this is a non-profited 110% honest review from a man that actually purchased this product. This is an excellent mower. It combines the maneuverability of a zero-turn mower with the comfort of a standard steering wheel. I have tried the standard zero-turn mowers with the bars for steering and just didn't like them. To combine that zero turn ability with a steering wheel was the best of both worlds for me. Also, I was pleased with the overall quality of the machine. The 54" mowing deck is fabricated from welded steel components and not just stamped out of a single sheet. This is a relatively recent purchase, but I have put it through the paces as I have a little under 3 acres of lawn to maintain This is is mower that should easily last me many years. Lastly, I thought the price was fair and competitive

Could use move weight on the front end; wheels come off ground when turning on uneven ground. The 54” could have a 23 or 24 HP engine.
Over all we are satisfied with the mower.
